Congratulations to Sir Isaac Newton Sixth form – School Space Race Winners 2017!
A team of students from Norwich in the UK managed to design and launch a balloon to a record breaking 33km high. This was around 3km more than any other team. The team where unable to identify the route cause of their successes but some are putting it down to their mascot “Gravity Fox” which was designed by their partner team in South Africa, Bondzeni High. The team bagged £1,000 or star gazing equipment from our sponsor Genatec, thanks! Thanks also to Kay Yeoman, the University of East Anglia, Research Council UK, the Institute of Physics and everyone who took part.
